 Experts in network communications Satcom is the complete company in the communications trade. Satcom AB has a long and broad experience in communication networks. Satcom started designing, building and serving cable TV networks in Sweden in 1984. During the 1980s, Satcom was contracted to build cable TV networks for Hallstahammars Fastighets AB in Hallstahammar, Kungsors Fastighets AB in Kungsor, Ludvikahem in Ludvika, Hyresbostader in Norrkoping and Kopings Bostads AB in Koping. The proper starting point for the use of two-way communication for data traffic in cable TV networks was in 1987 in Koping. Today, the municipality runs all data traffic between their administrative units via the cable TV networks. All households connected to the cable TV networks have access to Internet via the cable net, a service that has already proven successful. Also, the municipal housing company takes care of its energy supervision via the cable-TV-net. Satcom handles the operation of the Köping cable TV network, and are also the designers and builders of several data net (both cable TV and broadband networks) in different sizes for companies and organisations. These nets are done to suit the specifications and wishes of the customers, from two-thread to optic fibre solutions. Satcom also handles service and measurement of data nets.
